Huacachina, Peru

The next morning, we went dune bugging. And I did not see that coming. It was a roller coaster ride without a safety measure. I'm still amazed at how that a-wee-bit-bigger-than-a-golf-cart buggy did not get toppled over, and how we came out of it unscathed.
The dunes were enormous, and beeeeautiful. And gosh! Sand boarding… A pesky thought of "Am I too old for this?" visited my brain for 3 seconds, but then sliding down a huge dune in a super speed was fun! (And funny, when you come to think about it.)

After 2 hours of those, sand was EVERYWHERE. I'm sure I brought some with me all the way back to New York.
